Accommodation at the Black Cat Tea Rooms, Lechlade

Four spacious and individual rooms, which have all recently been refurbished, are also available for bed and breakfast through The Crown Inn. These are above the Black Cat Tea Rooms on the High Street in Lechlade, less than a minute’s walk from The Crown Inn.
We undertook an extensive restoration of this building in 2005, and exposed a number of attractive period features. We were lucky enough to discover Cotswold stone walls, wooden beams and original fireplaces, and have retained these throughout.

Room 1

Not for the fainthearted or infirm! This double attic room is full of character, with beams, exposed Cotswold stonework and original wooden flooring.

Double bed, TV, tea/coffee-making facilities.

Please note: the bathroom facilities for this room are down the attic stairs on the first floor.

Room 2

A huge, sunny room with a Kingsize bed, plenty of storage, and an ensuite bathroom equipped with a luxury hydro-massage shower.

Exposed Cotswold stone walls and feature fireplaces. TV, easy chairs and coffee table, tea/coffee-making facilities

A family room, perfect for parents with young children. The first room in the suite has a double bed, TV, storage and tea/coffee facilities. A door leads through to a second large room, with two single beds.

Bathroom facilities are immediately outside this room, shared with room 2.

The first-floor bathroom for rooms 2 and 3 has a luxuriously deep roll-top bath and a vintage-look towel heater/radiator. This room shares the period features of beams, exposed stonework and wooden floors which have been a theme of the restoration.

Bed and breakfast is available for these rooms through the Crown Inn, so breakfast is served at the pub across the road. If you prefer, we can make arrangements for you to eat downstairs at the Black Cat cafe.

There is the further comfort of being above a family-run tea room, which serves homemade cakes, cream teas and drinks, as well as a full hot menu, throughout the day. They are also happy to make up picnics for you to take away – ideal if you are passing through Lechlade on a riverside walk.
